On February 27th of 2007, B5one lost one of its members to a battle with cancer.  Vikki Lowe was the first person B5one was able to help with its UNITE initiative, and as such the UNITE program has been renamed in her honor.  UNITE has been expanded to help with a number of different charity efforts now including fighting A-T (ataxia-telangiectasia), SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions), and Operation Music Aid.
